By manipulating the blood through heating, burning, aging, mixing with copper, adding foreign materials, and then encasing it in plexiglass and UV resin, Jordan is able to capture an array of organic designs. His large pieces are uncomfortably beautiful, especially when lit, the blood seems to glow against the clean white walls of a gallery.

How to play the Midnight Man Game w/ rules
It is highly recommended that you do not play the midnight game, however here are some instructions for you risk takers.play at your own risk;
1. It must be 12:00 AM when you begin the ritual, or the ritual will not work.things you will need; candles Paper and Pencils a front door made of wood Salt A pin needle to poke yourself with All the lights in the house off Step 1: Everyone playing the midnight game must write their names on a piece of paper, then use a pin needle to drop a single drop of their blood onto the paper Step
2: Place the papers in front of your front door. Your front door must be made of wood. Step
3: Each player is to light a candle Step
4: Knock on your front door exactly 22 times. ( The 22nd knock must happen at 12:00 AM or the ritual will not work.) Step
5: Open your door, blow out the candle, and close it. You have now summoned the "Midnight Man". Immediately relight your candle Step
6: Your goal for the rest of the game is to survive the Midnight Man. Everyone who plays must walk with their candle lit around the house, avoiding the Midnight Man at all costs until the clock strikes 3:33 AM. At which time the Midnight Man will leave. If your candle blows out on its own, it means the midnight man is near, and you have 10 seconds to relight your candle. if you fail to relight the candle in 10 seconds you must surround yourself with a circle of salt and wait until 3:33 AM. If you fail to surround yourself with salt in time the Midnight Man will attack and you will have hallucinations of your worst fears until 3:33 AM.
Signs that the Midnight Man is nearby:

A team of physicists at Cornell University has created a wrinkle in time. Actually, it’s more like a teeny tiny moth hole in time. Inside it things can occur that are entirely undetectable, at least to ordinary observers. It’s as if they never happened.
This phenomenon, known as “temporal cloaking,” is the latest addition to a world that once existed only in children’s literature and science fiction — a place where objects are invisible and events are unrecorded.
The physics community let out a small gasp six years ago when researchers reported the first successful “spatial cloaking,” in which light is bent around an object in a way that makes it disappear from view. The new report in the journal Nature shows how they can play with something that would seem to be even harder to manipulate: the perception of time.
“We think of time in the way that other people think of space. What other people are doing in space, we can do it in time,” said Moti Fridman, a researcher at the School of Applied and Engineering Physics at Cornell University .
“I think it’s a big step forward,” said Vladimir M. Shalaev, a professor of electrical and computer engineering at Purdue University, who has worked on spatial cloaking. “It’s another example of the beauty of ‘transformational optics,’ which is behind all these ideas.”
Temporal cloaking, like spatial cloaking, is not magic. It follows all the ironclad laws of physics and is to some extent a parlor trick, albeit performed in a highly unusual parlor. Whether it will have a use isn’t known, as the hole in time created by the Cornell team lasts only 50 trillionths of a second.
“It is not enough time to steal a painting from a museum,” Fridman said, joking. He added that there might nevertheless be practical uses of the technology.
Cloaking things, either in space or in time, requires the manipulation of light. Light carries information; it bounces off objects, defining their shape and sending those details to detectors such as our eyes. If an object can prevent light from doing that, it will become invisible.
But because light travels and has speed, it also defines when something happens. The lightening and darkening that occurs when a beam of light illuminates an event marks the event in time. If something can happen and yet leave the light unperturbed, which is the essence of temporal cloaking, then the event can become as invisible as a cloaked object.
Those manipulations are possible because of man-made substances that behave in ways that natural substances don’t. The extreme bending of light that makes spatial cloaking possible requires so-called optical metamaterials made through nanotechnology. Temporal cloaking depends on special lasers and optical fibers that disperse or undisperse light in predictable ways.
A time lens splits light into temporal components similar to a lens splitting white light into colors.
In their experiment, previewed this summer in an online archive and reported in detail in Nature on Tuesday, Fridman and his collaborators sent a laser beam of light down a fiber-optic cable. At the starting end of the cable, they pulsed the beam with a second laser that changed the light from a single wavelength to a range of wavelengths, essentially different colors.
The beam then entered a section of cable that had the property of carrying light of different wavelengths at different speeds, specifically blue light faster than red. As a consequence, the two colors separated until there was a space between them where there was no light at all. This blip of total darkness — one centimeter wide and lasting 50 picoseconds — is what the researchers called a “time gap” or “time hole.” The beam was then reassembled by reversing the steps, sending it through glass with the opposite effect on blue and red light, and then through another laser that restored the light to the original single wavelength.
To show that an event occurring in the “time gap” was undetected, the researchers pulsed a ray of light through it. Normally, that would perturb the first beam in a way that was obvious when the light came out the far end of the cable. But when the ray went through the time gap and then the beam was reassembled successfully, the detector at the end of the cable perceived no change.
Here is a rough analogy:
Imagine you are watching a train of 40 cars coming toward you head-on. You notice a man on a motorcycle stopped at a crossing. If somehow the train uncoupled between the 20th and 21st cars and the front half of the train sped up a little and the back half slowed down, a gap would open. If the gap opened at the crossing and the motorcyclist was fast enough, he could pass through the train to the other side of the track. If the cars then recoupled and the train regained its constant speed, it would appear to you that nothing had occurred — except, of course, the position of the motorcyclist changed. (The analogy isn’t perfect. In the Cornell experiment, the gap is opened by compressing light, not speeding up or slowing down the whole front and rear of the beam as would be the case with the train.)
In both the experiment and the analogy, it appears an impossible event has transpired. But of course that’s not the case. All that’s happened is that detection of an event through ordinary means has been made impossible.
“It is not enough time to steal a painting from a museum,” Fridman said, joking. He added that there might nevertheless be practical uses of the technology.
Shalaev, of Purdue, thinks there are practical applications of transformational optics, such as more efficient solar collectors and “super-resolution” of images. But he doesn’t dismiss the idea that cloaking might have its uses.

Danny says of his work,
My anatomical works combine classic poses, in dramatic chiaroscuro lighting, with a very contemporary twist… illustrating what’s underneath the skin, and the portrayed figure dissects a region of their body to show the structures that lay beneath.
Aspiring to become a medical illustrator, these works were done in my senior year at Pratt Institute. Always having been interested in anatomy/the body, decided to do a series of paintings combining Classical aesthetics with a surreal approach. I plan to work on this series for about another 6 months while I am taking prerequisite courses for graduate school requirements, where I intend to become a medical illustrator.

Researchers in Zurich, Switzerland, are developing nanomagnets that could someday strip potentially harmful substances from the blood. The technology might be used to treat people suffering from drug intoxication, bloodstream infections, and certain cancers.
The project involves magnetized nanoparticles that are coated with carbon and studded with antibodies specific to the molecules the researchers want to purge from the blood: inflammatory proteins such as interleukins, or harmful metals like lead, for example. By adding the nanomagnets to blood, then running the blood through a dialysis machine or similar device, the researchers can filter out the unwanted compounds.
"The nanomagnets capture the target substances, and right before the nanoparticles would be recirculated, the magnetic separator accumulates the toxin-loaded nanomagnets in a reservoir and keeps them separated from the recirculating blood," explains Inge Herrmann, a chemical engineer at the University of Zurich who is leading the work.
According a study published in the journal Nephrology Dialysis and Transplantation in February 2011, the researchers were able to remove 75 percent of digoxin, a heart drug that can prove fatal if given in too high a dose, in a single pass through a blood-filtration device. After an hour and a half of cleansing, the nanomagnets had removed 90 percent of the digoxin.
A Virus that could kill everyone

Here’s an idea: why don’t we just tell everybody in the world how to make an airborne H5N1 influenza virus strain (“bird flu”) that has been genetically altered to be easily transmissible (between ferrets, which mostly closely mimic the human response to flu), and which if released, could trigger an influenza pandemic, quite possibly with many millions of deaths?
OK, it seems like a totally evil idea, one that even Dr. Josef Mengele, the “angel of death,” probably wouldn’t have hatched. But not to virologist Dr. Ron Fouchier of Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, who wants to publish a paper describing how he did it, Science Insider reveals.

Fouchier, whose research is funded by NIH, admits this is “probably one of the most dangerous viruses you can make,” but has already gone ahead and presented the study at a September meeting in Malta.
The paper he’s written — along with another one on H5N1, with comparable results, by a team led by virologist Dr. Yoshihiro Kawaoka at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and the University of Tokyo — is currently under review by the U.S. National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity (NSABB), which could recommend it not be published, but has no authority to block it.
“The specter of an H5N1 pandemic keeps flu scientists up at night because of the virus’ power to kill,” warns Science Insider. “Of the known cases so far, more than half were fatal.”

Life on Mars
On Saturday, Nov. 26, NASA launched the Mars Science Laboratory, which carries a one-ton, car-sized rover named Curiosity.After landing in August 2012, over a two-year mission, the rover will investigate whether a region of Mars has ever offered conditions favorable for microbial life, including the chemical ingredients for life. Observations from orbit have identified clay and sulfate minerals in the lower layers, indicating a wet history.
Curiosity’s ambitious science goals are among the mission’s many differences from earlier Mars rovers. It will use a drill and scoop at the end of its robotic arm to gather soil and powdered samples of rock interiors, then sieve and parcel out these samples into analytical laboratory instruments inside the rover.
Curiosity carries 10 science instruments with a total mass 15 times as large as the science-instrument payloads on the Mars rovers Spirit and Opportunity. Some of the tools are the first of their kind on Mars, such as a laser-firing instrument for checking the elemental composition of rocks from a distance, and an X-ray diffraction instrument for definitive identification of minerals in powdered samples.

CREATIVE/DARK/MACABRE/GORE/HORROR AND SURREAL ART.
THATS WHAT I WAS WRITTEN ABOVE. ITS HARD TO WRITE ONE MAIN PIECE OF STYLE AND ART. IT HAVE TOO MANY DIFFERENTS ITSELF.

I REMEMBER THAT IT WAS DONE FROM 2 PHOTOS: SOME GUY AND A CAT BONE + SOME TEXTURES AND A LITTLE PAINT IN PS.
IT WAS FIRST OF MY DEATH FETUS OF ART THAT CAME FROM MY SKULL.

HMM SOME GRAPHIC FOR PAINTINGS ON THE WALL AND ONE CD COVER FOR SOME DEATH METAL BAND.
EVERYONE MAY BUY AN IMAGE FROM ME. MOSTLY I AM DOING AN INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS SO PEOPLE CAME TO ME AND ASK ABOUT GRAPHIC FOR THEM.
6. where do you get your inspiration from?
BOOKS, AND MUSIC, LYRICS. SOMETIMES FROM MOVIES.
7. are there any particular artists you follow?
FOLLOW IS KIND BIG WORD. HMM BUT I LIKE ART FROM Beksiński, Giger, Toshihiro Egawa. THIS LAST IS IN MY OPINION BEST GORE ARTIST THAT I KNOW. I LIKE TO SEE CD COVERS FROM DEATH METAL BAND CALLED CANNIBAL CORPSE HAHA
LONG TIME AGO WHEN I WAS YOUNG I SAW THEM AND I FALL IN LOVE WITH THAT KIND OF GORE/MACABRE CREATIONS. FOR ME IT WAS AN IMPULSE TO CREATE MY ROTTEN ART.
I WANT TO DO IT BETTER AND HARDER THAN NORMAL HORROR IMAGES. MORE HMM... REAL. AND I STILL WORKING ON IT. ITS LONG WAY TO DO IT RIGHT.
8.how long does it take you to complete a piece of art?
IT DEPEND. SOMETIMES FEV HOURS -LIKE 3-4 SOMETIMES 2 DAYS. IT DEPEND OF COMPLEXITY OF WORK AND STATE OF MY INTOXICATION HAHA
IF I MUST DO SOMETHING FAST I DO IT. BUT I LIKE TO HAVE TIME WHEN MY VICTIM ON A PHOTO TURN INTO SOME DEAD ROTTEN FLESH.
I FEEL THEN LIKE SOME MURDER OR MANIAC HAHA I TAKE LIFES AND MAKE PEOPLE SUFFER IN CAGE OF THEIR BODIES. TO SHOW BEAUTY OF DEATH AND DECAY.
9.what kind of people do you think tend to buy your artwork?MOSTLY SOME METAL/GOTH/FETISH/NECROPHILIC KIND OF PEOPLE HAHA
BUT SOMETIMES SOMEONE USUAL CAME AND SAY THAT HE/SHE LIKES SOME PIECE OF MY ART.
I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING AND I KNOW THAT NO EVERYONE HAVE SPECIFIC WAY OF LIKE SOME THINGS.
ONE OF THEM LIKES WHAT I DO THE OTHER NOT -THEN I SAY: "FUCK OFF AND DIE"!
10. what genres of art attract you the most?
MOSTLY GORE ART, SOME MACABRE AND HORROR. I LIKE SURREAL ART AS WELL. SURREAL SHOWS HOW EVERYTHING IS FLOATING IN FRAGILE EMPTINESS OF REALITY.
I LIKE TO SEE IN ONE IMAGE MORE OF THEM AT ONCE. ITS LIKE YOU WILL LOOKING ON 6 MIRRORS ON A DIFFERENT CORNER. YOU SEE ONE THEME BUT ON A DIFFERENT VIEWS ITS TOTALLY SOMETHING ELSE.

11.what is a typical day for you like from sunrise to sunset?
GOOOOD QUESTION! IN LIFE I AM NORMAL PERSON -AS YOU OR EVERYONE ELSE. PERHAPS I LOOK LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM NORMAL PERSON HAHA -YOU KNOW I HAVE CUT MY LONG HAIR LIKE NERGAL FROM BEHEMOTH HAHA
I WEAR BLACK CLOTHES AND MIX STYLE BETWEEN METAL AND A LITTLE GOTH, HAVE PIERCING ON MY EARS, MOUTH AND NIPPLES AND HAVE TATTOO ON MY ALL BACK HAHA
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER EVERY NIGHT I GOES TO A GRAVEYARD IN MY VILLAGE AND DRINK SOME ALCOHOL THERE HAHA BUT NOW WHEN I MUST WORK TO HAVE SOME MONEY IT LOOKS LIKE THIS:
I WAKE UP AT 5 O'CLOCK AND GO TO WORK. ITS NORMAL WORK IN FACTORY (BECAUSE I DON'T WORK AS A GRAPHIC DESIGNER). I CAME FROM WORK, EAT SOMETHING. SEE MY EMAIL,
LOOKING SOME SICK STUFF IN INTERNET (MOST ITS SOME GORE,FETISH,SUICIDE THEMES). I GO OUT WITH MY EWELINA AND HAVE A GOOD TIME WITH HER. SHE IS MY MUSE.

ITS MAGIC ; ) I MIX DIGITAL AND TRADITIONAL ART. SOMETIMES I DO LINE ART AND LATER I SCAN IT AND PAINT IN PS.
ANOTHER TIME I DO PHOTO MANIP AND DIGITAL PAINTING -IT DEPENDS WHAT KIND OF STYLE IN MY WORK I WANT TO HAVE. I EVOLVE ALL THE TIME.

HMM I TELL YOU THAT IN POLAND I DON'T SEE ANY PERSPECTIVES. I DREAM TO HAVE A MOTORCYCLE -HONDA SHADOW OR HONDA CBR : )
NOW FROM TIME TO TIME I GO TO INKCARNATION TATTOO AND WORK THERE AS A GRAPHIC DESIGNER. MOSTLY I AM A FREELANCER AND I AM DOING INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS.
